Our partners at Fassi’s Friends are excited to announce an Essay Contest – the winner will receive a one-of-a-kind insiders experience, inside the ropes trip to the 2022 DOW Great Lakes Bay Invitational LPGA tournament with Maria Fassi July 11 – July 16!
The contest is open to all YOUTH (ages 5-17) in the NORTHWEST ARKANSAS area.
To enter the contest, complete the application and submit an essay discussing the following prompt.
The Maria Fassi Foundation’s goal is to create inclusion for kids of all abilities to come together to learn and grow the game of golf through Fassi’s Friends. Please write a short essay discussing why you believe it is important for all young people to experience golf regardless of ability or background.
The winner will be able to invite a parent OR guardian to accompany them (REQUIRED). Airfare for two, hotel accommodations (single occupancy) for two (July 11-16) will be provided by the DOW GLBI. Additionally, the tournament will provide access for two to all events Maria is participating in, including the First Tee – Eastern Michigan Maria Fassi clinic on July 11.
Essay Requirements: Essays must be hand-written on a separate piece of paper and attached to the application. Please do not put any names on the essay to help with anonymity of judging. Applications can be dropped off at First Tee – NWA (715 E. Monroe Ave., Lowell, AR) and must be received by Friday, June 3rd.
